Built to Nose Ride

This 9'0" longboard is patterned after the styling of the 1960s but updated with a modern rail profile. It carries the name of a well-known board, though out of respect the specific design source is not named here, and no endorsement or affiliation with any surfer is implied.

Tucked-under 60/40 rails harden slightly toward the tail, giving the board a classic feel while adding improved turning compared to older-style shapes.

Fin Configuration & Volume

The board can be set up with one to five fins, either boxed or glassed on, giving builders flexibility in ride feel. Volume is concentrated toward the nose to support nose riding while keeping the board manageable through turns.

Materials & Related Supplies

Suggested build uses 4 oz. E glass cloth with epoxy resin and fishbone frame construction over a flat bottom profile. Glassing materials sized for your board length are available separately, along with fin kits to complete the build.

For surfers who want the glide and stability of a classic longboard with the rewarding challenge of a hands-on build, this 9'0" design delivers on every front. The fishbone frame construction keeps the board remarkably light while maintaining the stiffness needed for confident nose riding, and the full-size PDF plans print on any standard home printer, ready to be assembled at your own pace. Every step is covered in the included manual, from cutting the wooden templates to laying down the fiberglass, with email support available if you hit a snag along the way. It's a complete package that turns a garage project into a board you'll actually ride.
