This funboard is just that - FUN! Its
kind of a longboard that wants to be
a shortboard - and it loves a nice
medium-size swell.
The classic pintail has low drag for
speed but its easy to keep under
control. A single fin works great but
you can install three, four, or even five
fins. Its as agile as a short board but
you can get to the nose too. And the
modern rail profile seals the deal.
Its best for riders up to 190 lbs. but
heavier riders are OK depending on
your experience level.

The full-size rib and spar
templates show the ribs
with rounded ends. These
rounded ends make
getting the correct rail
profile foolproof.
We've seen these boards
built as square tail, pin tail,
diamond tail, and swallow
tail. Its your call - the
instructions show you how.

This board was made with recycled redwood siding and
yard planter edging. We added a paulownia pin line for
extra "pop". The redwood siding that we used was saved
from the land still sports the nail holes There's no stain
on this wood, this is the natural color after glassing.
