Fish boards are all about fun.  They are the perfect transition boards for the jump
from longboards to shortboards.  These little rockets are great in summer surf but
we've seen them ripping in head-high winter swells.

Traditionally fish are built with a swallow tail and twin keel fins. We know better than
to mess with a proven shape but we wanted to offer a different tail option as shown
above. Its kind of a hybrid diamond-squash tail and we like it. We also like the
four-fin option for this board.

As you can see above you can easily make the board with the traditional swallow
tail (shown in blue dashed lines) but we still kind of like the newer style tail. That's
the beauty of these boards - make them like you like them.  Sweet!

We've made some changes to our lineup of
Fish surfboards.
First off, there is no more 7'2"
Fish. Let's be real folks, at that length it isn't a fish
anymore - its almost a long board! The main
change though is in construction.  The only way we
recommend building a Fish is using solid laid-up
rails and the templates have been changed to
reflect this. The wood strip rails tended to distort
the frame and weren't as strong as we liked.  Both
our Fish boards look and act like a fish surfboard
should and now they are stronger than ever!

If you order either the 5' 8" or 6'2" Fish  instructions and templates above you can add  templates for other boards for only $4.99
each.  These templates are sold in addition to the book above and are not sold alone.
